Do these meet NPC and IFBB classic physique guidelines?

Yes. The PRO cut is built to meet current NPC and IFBB Classic Physique coverage requirements while sitting at the more revealing end of the allowed range. Solid hologram fabrics are stage-legal under current rules.

How does hologram fabric perform on stage vs. on camera?

Hologram fabric is high-reflectivity — it catches stage lights and reads as a bright, defined trunk from the audience and judges’ table. On camera it photographs sharp and pops in flash photography. The trade-off is that hologram requires more careful handling than matte lycra and can show wear under bright spotlights if creased.

What’s the difference between this and the Limited Edition Hologram?

This is our standard hologram fabric at $49.95. The Limited Edition uses a premium hologram fabric from a specific production run that has deeper, more consistent reflectivity across the surface and better stretch recovery. Both are stage-legal; the Limited Edition is for competitors who want the most reflective hologram we make and don’t mind paying $10 more.

What’s the difference between the regular cut and the PRO cut?

The regular cut is the traditional classic physique silhouette — more side coverage, the conservative stage-standard fit. The PRO cut is narrower on the side with a higher leg opening for more glute and upper thigh exposure. Most first-time amateurs choose the regular cut; most competitive and IFBB Pro athletes choose the PRO cut.

Will competition tan transfer to the hologram?

Hologram fabric is less forgiving than matte lycra when it comes to tan transfer. Always apply your competition tan well in advance and confirm it is fully dry before putting on the trunk. Bring a backup pair of trunks to the venue for the morning show if you’re also competing in the evening show.

Care

Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Lay flat to dry — never put competition fabric in the dryer. Hologram fabric requires extra gentle handling: avoid hangers with sharp edges, do not iron, and store flat to prevent creasing that can dull the reflectivity. Avoid contact with self-tanner before it has fully dried.
