Fit Model Bikini Size Guide and Bottom Cuts
Custom Fit Model bikinis from Suits You Competition Suits are made to your measurements in our Clearwater, Florida workshop, not picked from a standard size chart. This guide shows how to measure, how to choose your bottom cut, and what passes Fit Model check-in.
How Fit Model sizing works
- Custom Fit Model (hologram $149, Lycra $139, Limited Edition with molded cup $199): cut to your measurements. 3 weeks. Rush available.
- In-stock Fit Model: standard sizing, ships the same day or the next business day, and adjusted to your measurements before it ships.
How to take your measurements
Use a soft measuring tape against your skin. Keep it snug but not tight, and do not suck in. Measure now, during prep, not from your off-season clothes.
- Over bust: around your back and across the fullest part of your chest, parallel to the floor.
- Under bust: around your ribcage, right where a bra band sits.
- Waist: the narrowest part of your torso, usually an inch or two above your belly button.
- Hip bone: around your body directly over the bony points at the front of your pelvis. This is higher than your glutes.
- Glutes: feet together, around the widest, fullest part of your hips and glutes.

Choose your bottom cut
From least to most rear coverage: Cheeky, Contour, Moderate, and Classic.
Cheeky Cut
Best for smaller-framed athletes or anyone who wants the least rear coverage, our Cheeky Cut is our smallest, most minimal-coverage bottom. Designed for athletes who prefer a more revealing, sculpted look, it highlights the glutes with a confident, competition-inspired silhouette.
Contour Cut
Best for athletes who want a sleek, contoured look with a touch more coverage than Cheeky, our Contour Cut is a sculpted in-between fit, more minimal than Moderate. It follows and enhances the natural shape of the glutes for a flattering, confident look without feeling overly revealing.
Moderate Cut
Best for most athletic body types, our Moderate Cut is our most popular and versatile bottom, with more coverage than Cheeky or Contour. It provides balanced rear coverage with a flattering, secure fit and a classic competition-inspired look.
Classic Cut
Best for athletes with fuller glutes or anyone who feels best in a more covered bottom, our Classic Cut is our fullest-coverage bottom style. It offers a more secure, traditional fit and a smooth, confident silhouette without sacrificing shape.

Fit Model is a plain two-piece: one plain color of Lycra or hologram, no crystals, no connectors, slide adjusters instead of ties, and a moderate, slightly rounded front. How do I choose my Fit Model bikini size?
Custom Fit Model bikinis are not sold in standard sizes. Take your over bust, under bust, waist, hip bone, and glute measurements with a soft tape and enter them on the product page. Lucy McCudden, the founder, owner and designer of Suits You Competition Suits, cuts the suit to those measurements.
Which Fit Model bottom cut passes check-in?
Moderate and Classic follow the NPC and IFBB Fit Model standard of at least 50% glute coverage. Cheeky may not pass check-in. Contour may or may not pass, depending on the athlete's size. Contact us before ordering Cheeky or Contour for a show.
How long does a custom Fit Model bikini take?
Custom Fit Model bikinis take 3 weeks, and rush is available. In-stock Fit Model bikinis ship the same day or the next business day.
Are in-stock Fit Model bikinis compliant?
Yes. The in-stock Fit Model bikinis are built to the Fit Model standard. Custom cuts such as Cheeky or Contour may not be.
